None. Zero. Zilch. noyoucant.app runs entirely in your browser. The salary you type in, your savings balance, that $47,000 boat you're eyeing — none of it ever leaves your device. There's no database. There's no backend. There's no analytics pixel watching you cry when the calculator says "No."
We don't use cookies. No tracking cookies, no session cookies, no chocolate chip cookies. Your browser might cache the page for performance, but that's between you and your browser.
We load the Inter font from Google Fonts. Google may log that your browser requested a font file, as described in Google's privacy FAQ. That's the only external request the Site makes. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service.
The Site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as described in Netlify's privacy policy. We don't access these logs or use them for any purpose.
We use your browser's local storage to save your progress so you can pick up where you left off if you close the tab. This data lives entirely on your device — we never see it, never transmit it, never touch it. It auto-expires after 24 hours, and clicking "Start over" wipes it immediately. No accounts, no cloud sync, no cookies.
If you use the "Share this result" feature, the calculator encodes your inputs (item name, price, income, expenses, savings, and debt) into a URL. That URL lives in your clipboard and your browser's address bar — we never see it. Anyone you share the link with can see the data in it. Don't share the link if you don't want someone seeing those numbers.
This Site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children, mostly because we don't collect information from anyone.
If we ever start collecting data (we won't), we'll update this policy and the "Last updated" date. But the whole point of this calculator is brutal honesty, so we'd be hypocrites to start being sneaky about your data.
